How to wear a bustier
A strapless bustier is both a sexy and functional clothing item that should be in every woman’s wardrobe. Here are a few tips for wearing a bustier, according to howtodothings.com:
• Get the right cup size. Even if the rest of the bustier doesn’t fit exactly as you would want it to, make sure the cup size is right. The rest of the bustier can be adjusted to fit you, but the cup size can’t. If you’re having trouble determining your cup size, you can be fitted by a professional bra fitter.
• Make sure it flatters. The whole point of a bustier is to lift up the busts and create an excess of cleavage. If the bustier flattens or compresses your chest, it isn’t the right fit. Try variations of mesh boning or plastic boning to get the right fit. Fuller-framed women should use plastic boning for more structure while smaller-framed women can use mesh boning.
• Go strapless. A strapless bustier is far more versatile than one with straps, because it can be worn under myriad versions of dresses and shirts, and creates a classic, sexy look when you’re just wearing it alone.
• Pay attention to the closures. Bustiers traditionally have their closures in the back, but it can be difficult to dress yourself. Try one on with front closures, and see if you like the look and feel.
